Omschrijving
For sale a wonderful Domenico Moffa Lorraine hand made semiacoustic guitar, from 2010.
One owner, ordered directly from Nico back in the 2008 (and received in the late 2010).
Nico Moffa is one of most famous luthers around the world and he is one of the very few that combine luther techniques from bowed instrument into an electric guitar.
His instruments are played and acclaimed by many top guitar players around the world.
The Lorraine is an original design, a kind of semi archtop/semi hollow body guitar which reassembles the best you can get from an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar.
Few specs:
Asymmetric body, perfectly balanced
Top: red Val di Fiemme mastergrade spruce, hand tuned
Back (flat) and sides: handgraduated Brazilian rosewood
Edge bindings: maple, violin style
Neck: one piece pear wood with ebony fingerboard, no dots on the fingerboard only on sides
Scale: 24 3/4 (628 mm), 335 style, 22 frets
Pickups: Moffa H1 hum bucker with ebony covers
Electronics: CTS 1Mohm pot for the volume, CTS 500k pot for the tone, aluminum foil/paper-in-oil Jenson capacitors, 3 way toggle, ebony knobs.
Hardware: Schaller GTB bridge (black), Schaller M6 135 machine heads (black), ebony nut
Tailpiece, fingerest, armrest: ebony
Finish: red violin style glossy water-based finish, hand applied, satin finish on neck, harder synthetic last coat on the back
Strings: Thomastik BB113.
What else do I have to say?
The neck is a piece of art of luthery, all construction, comfort, playability. Every single fret is easy to be accessible (not link on a 335)
The neck profile is more or less a Medium C.
Its a powerful guitar with a strong voice but incredibly versatile.
The feedback rejection is more than excellent.
The overall playability and the eveness of sound are exactly what you expect from a guitar at this level at this price tag.
The instrument is in perfect playing conditions!
There are few normal signs of use: the guitar has been played, used but never abused!
Note: the water finish is more delicate than the standard synthetics coatings
Pictures: *link removed* Price: EUR 3600 shipped, express shipping tracked and insured!
Shipping from North East Italy.
The instrument is of course available for a test and local pickup.
